jo,

/. has a article on whats new and wonderfull in the 2.2.0 kernel, stuff that
changed includes the modules and the cua stuff. A 'whats new' doc should
also be in the kernel source tree, propably under /doc. reading it would
take about 5 min and save you lotsa trouble...you can't fix stuff that ain't
broken (yea yea)--it works different now.

Subject: GLUG: 2.2.0 and modules

Hi all... I'm havin problems with 2.2.0 and modules... I've upgraded my
insmod to 2.1.121... I've also upgraded to
modutils-man-2.1.121-2
modutils-2.1.121-2

I've chosen Enable Loadable Modules Support and Kernel Module Loader...
I've also tried Set version information on all symbols for modules...

It won't automount any of my modules... If I try and do a mount /dosc
(/dev/hda1 - fat32) It throws out

kmod: failed to exec -s -k vfat, errno = 2
mount: fs type vfat not supported by kernel

If I do an insmod fat, then an insmod vfat then it mounts fine...

I've tried using the kerneld and I've tried disabling it. ...
Nada ... Nothing ... No results... I'm using redhat 5.2 ...

I'm also gettiung a funny with pppd... It complains about redundant
cua0... Upgrade to something that uses TTYS0.... What else doi I need to
change?

Thanks in advance...
