Hokay... Read the doc in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/modules.txt  ...
First it tells you that kerneld has been replaced by kmod, please bear
this in mind... then it spends ages wombling on about using kerneld to
autoload modules... I'm not any closer here :-( It doesn't talk about any
differences between the 2.0 series and the 2.2 way of doing things...
