Hello everyone!

I ran into a problem last night (I think) trying to download the new kernel.
I was going to update my home machine and had to download the kernel to my
NT machine at work. On downloading, Internet Explorer was telling me I was
downloading the 12.5 Meg file at about 62kbps. Totally impossible since we
only have 2 channels of a T1 for data. I just ignored it thinking Explorer
wasn't reporting the proper speed or file size. But, when I was done, the
kernel was sitting in a folder and taking up 52 Megs of space! I later
burned the kernel (and a whole lot of other stuff) to a CD-ROM and the
kernel was still taking up 52 megs of space. Did I do something wrong here?

I could try downloading it to one of the linux machines here, but I'm
curious as to why downloading the kernel is so weird on my NT machine.
Repeated attempts to download (always with IE4) have always resulted in
downloading a "52 Meg" kernel.

Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott.
