Hello All! I logged to Linux as non-root user, started X11 (by sratrx), then, in xterm, su-ed to root and tried to run xemacs. It printed following: ----------------------- Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key Initialization error: X server not responding : ":0.0" ----------------------- What does this mean? And. please, can somebody point me to the information about internal work of X11? alex
