Not quite, "if" the file is called linux-2.2.2-.tar.gz then it is not an
"offical" kernel source file, however he possably means;
linux-2.2.2.tar.gz and i realy recomend not useing -v as an option, it will
make your eyes roll and you dizzy when watching what happens, or should i
have not said "trying to watch".
