You may update your kernel via patches, only if you are upgrading from the
last patchlevel to the current one.  Example, you can patch 2.0.35 to
2.0.36, or 2.2.3 to 2.2.4, but not 2.0.36 to 2.2.0, or 2.2.0 to 2.2.5.

First, download the entire source tree and install it.  Then subscribe to
the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.  Get the patch
every time one is released. 

FYI, 2.2.7 is released as of 28-Mar-99.
