Yes!

I'm running Red Hat 5.1 on a homebuild AMD486DX5133, 32Meg, #9 Vision330
1Meg, (Video/IO on VL Bus), ISA NE2K Clone EtherNet.

And also on a I486DX266, 20Meg, ISA SVGA 512K, All devices ISA, NE2K Clone
EtherNet.

the difference is very noticeable, even though the 133 is running all of the
services and the 66 is only running X.

Subject: How does AMD-586 133 work with Linux?

I'm currently running Slackware 3.5 Linux on a 486 DX2 66. I'm
thinking about upgrading the processor with an AMD 586 at 133
Mhz (using the Evergreen upgrade kit). Will I have any problem
running Linux? Should I anticipate a noticeable performance
increase?
