Whoa,
Deja vu time.  I just did the same thing just now on my comp.  Very strange
as I was going to ask this group how to fix it . . .

I put on Redhat 5 with my ATI Rage Pro.  Using the SVGA server, I cant get
the one window.  I get the five like below.  What I think it is doing is
taking the res. up to 1024*768 then setting a virtual desktop of 1600*1800.
Could someone tell me, err us, how to turn this down.  I would like to use X
at 800*600 if I can with the same sized desktop.  That way I can put Window
Maker on.

P.S. What would it take to get Vfat -Fat 32 - support in 5.0? Do I just
update the kernel?  If I can't move things from my Windows - i.e. Winmodem -
to Linux I think I am stuck.

Any help would be appreciated,
