Hello to all,
Thank you to all who have so far offered suggestions reguarding my ppp
problem. I'm unhappy to report that it's still occurring.
Let me clarify. My first problem is that my system is not logging. It's
not logging the boot messages, nor is it logging any errors from ppp. I
have confirmed that syslogd is in fact running, however, in
/var/adm/messages and /var/log/messages the only line is syslogd 1.3-3
restart
I don't know what that means. I have not made any changes to
syslog.conf, and my bootup messages do not go in to a logfile, but I can
use dmesg to get at them, but I'd like them to log.
tion soon, so I need to get ppp working over a modem.
I do not have debug and /or kdebug 0 in my commandline, do I put them
after the pppchat call or in pppchat? Yes, I have made all necessary
kernel upgrade requirements and the upgrade went flawlessly.
If anyone needs some files let me know.
Thanks.
Dave.
