Hello to all,
In atempting to trace down why my system is not logging I came across
the fact that in kernel v2.2.x syslogd faults out, in version 1.3-3,
which is exactly the version I've got. Well, thanks to the changes file I
found syslogd-1.3-31, and downloaded it. I've extracted the .tar.gz file,
but I'm clueless as to how to install it. Perhaps I have made a bad
mistake, I have already removed my previous sysklogd package, help
please, I hope I didn't just kill my system!
Second question, samba 2.0, has anyone tried it, and is there any
compatibility issues to be concerned with?
Finally, dosemu, if anyone is using the latest version 0.98.4, which
also works with kernel 2.2 please e-mail me privately.
Any help on any of these issues please e-mail. The last two please
e-mail privately, the log issue and sysklogd, is urgent!
Thanks.
Dave.
