Hmm...not really. It worked "out of the box" for me... 'course I'm connected
directly to my ISP via Ethernet half the time (I work for the ISP <G>) Do
you have "sendmail" setup on your system?
What's the mail server name for your ISP? I work in tech support and one of
the most common reasons people can't connect to the mail server (similar
problems as you describe) is that they have it wrong to begin with... either
they are trying [EMAIL PROTECTED] or something similar instead of mail.ISP.com.
My boss says that TECHNICALLY you should be able to use "pop3.ISP.com" or
"smtp.mailserver.com" but some ISPs (mine included) can't get that to work,
so we're stuck with mail.ISP.com instead.
What is your ISP's mail server name? Also, I don't know what the problem is,
but I can't seem to find "ginko.de" when I do an "nslookup" even when using
the name server listed for them by whois.ripe.net
