That is VERY old. For a 386 with 4 MB of RAM, I'd take at least Slackware
3.0 (kernel 1.2.13). For newer computers at least 3.4 (kernel 2.0.30).
(3.4 seems to be the last one that can be fully installed from the floppy
drive)
Of course you could also get another distribution.
