Hi all,
At the minute I am running RH5.2, 2.0.36 kernel, and
have a copy of the new
kernel on a CD, 2.2.2.
The README file on the CD gave a list of minimum
requirements that were
needed before compiling the new kernel.

These included: Kernel Modules2.1.121 ,
BinUtils-2.8.1.0.23 , Net-Tools-1.49 ,
                            Autofs-3.1.3 ,
NFS-2.2.beta37 , Bash-1.14.7 , Ncpfs- 2.2.0,
                            Util-linux-2.9.

I proceeded to install all these requirements, after
mounting the CD:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

After installing everything, for some reason I could
not unmount the CD, so I
rebooted, to get it out.
As it was rebooting, the following messages appeared:

mount: fs type vfat is not supported in kernel
mount: fs type iso9660 is not supported in kernel

Can anyone explain what might have happened?

Thanks
Shane
