Wow! this is a fantastic way of learning Linux. I asked about daemon and
got super answers, thanks to all. 
Now, next question (please!). I want to set up a scrip for dialing an ISP.
How do I make a file? The old copy con <filename> works great in dos, and
can make one in windows; but the 5.2 RH manual sure is not clear to me on
this. Thank you again!
