minicom

okay, my system was only recognizing 13MB. thanks all for your help.

i am confused by a problem i am having with minicom. minicom couldn't find
my modem to begin with, so i made a symbolic link from /dev/modem to
/dev/ttyS1. that worked until i restarted my computer. now it is not
working so well. minicom starts, but i cannot type any init strings.
anything i type does not even show in the window. any ideas?
