As I understand it USB-support in the 2.2.x kernel is marginal. On my system (2.2.10) the USB port is detected, but I have nothing to test whether it works. I've noticed that for the 2.3.x *development* kernel USB is one of the main work-area's. There is some documentation that came with SuSE 6.1 about USB. Haven't read it though. Perhaps others on the list have more detailed info. > ---------- > From: Erik Jakobsen[SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 30 July 1999 09:07 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: USB > > Hi all. > > I have a HP DeskJet 895Cxi printer which is setup on my USB port. > > Can Linux use the USB port at the present ??. > -- > Best regards: > > 73, Erik OZ4KK > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Powered by Linux RH6.0 >
