Hi all,
I recently installed Linux-Mandrake 6.0 on a Toshiba
laptop. (Pentium2 233) I am using the KDE interface.
My problem is this.....when I go to shut down the
computer, I go to the K menu-->logout and at the
next screen choose shutdown...the machine goes through
the shutdown process and halts. BUT, about half of the time
when I go to restart the computer later, whether it be
several hours or a couple of days later, I get the message
that "hda1 was not cleanly unmounted...check forced."
This is really more of an inconvenience than an actual
problem, but It takes from 3 to 5 minutes for the disk
checking utility to run, and I hate waiting! ;-)
