Use bzip2 instead of gzip. It's a lot better. bzip2 is even
better than rar, which was the best around for quite a while.
Does anyone know if there is a chance to find a dos/win port of
bzip2? I mean I want to make all my archives with it. But most of my
friends run win95 machines.
