Multiple hard drives

Dear All

Is it possible to have one mount point comprised of more than one HDD?
I'd like to have an area say /data which comprises two physically
seperate HDDs (one 4G and one 8G).

Is this possible and if so any help/pointers would be gratefully
received :-)
