That depends. Which distro are you using? Different distros put those
scripts in different places. For example, Slack put them in /etc/rc.d
while Debian puts them spread through a few different directories which
I'm not remembering at the moment (been a while since I fiddled with
Debian but just installed Slack 4.0 tonight - though somehow a group of
subdirectories all starting with rc. under /etc/rc.d is seeming
familiar).
