Hello all !

Sorry to bother you again with this one , but it's
really making me sad !

I have received several answers since (thank you! ):

Brad Bonkoski :
I don't think there's anything wrong with the MBR of
the HDD . I took it out of the PC and moved it to
another one (iPentium) and it worked fine ! Also ,
LILO starts and tries to boot , but the system hangs
whe it should say : 'Uncompressing kernel... Ok
booting kernel'

Richard Adams:
How can I know if my K6 is overclocked ??

Check your jumper settings on the board with the documentation, its a
well know problem that some suppliers overclock to make the computer
look nice and quick to you when its being demo'ed and of course the
price attracts you, only afterwards do folks then find out they have
an overclocked cpu. I have a friend who had this experiance, when he
confronted the shop owner with the evidence they denied all and said
the factory must have don it, huum, sales talk....

O just another thought, i asked if the disks were placed on the same
postion on "both machines" ie both on /dev/hda or what ever, if you
installed when the disk was on mahine one as /dev/hda then you
installed it as /dev/hdb on machine 2 then it "cant boot" and could
give you the message you see, just the blinkig prompt, however
normaly it would get to a point and say 'kernel panic cant load root
on 0x301 or whatever. However reading your message over and over i
dont think that is the case.

So i still go for the overclocked cpu.
