:
k, here goes, any help is much appreciated thanks:

this seems to be a common problem with this model of laptop and pcmcia
card
type, but after following some of the potential fixes on hypernews i'm
still
without connectivity. my link light is appearing (in the correct
colours,
i'm on a 100mb connect), the activity light does come on, all of the dns
and
ip information for my host is correct. the only thing i can see that
might
be a problem is the 'Kernel Module' section in linuxconf, it has been
left
blank as my pcmcia card is not listed.

a tcpdump displays a few arp messages, but nothing terribly interesting.
i'm
relatively new to the linux game, so please be gentile, and drop me an
e-mail to either the sender (vicken) or to the address below. thanks a
million!

im running redhat 6.0
