I was using Red Hat 5.2 for a year or so and it worked fine.
But I needed to re-install windose. So I tried to reconfigure my system but
the problem is:
- When I do an install with Linux, only the "server" option goes through.
- With "workstation" or "custom", the process cannot install Lilo. When I
boot, I got only "LI_" (and freeze) instead of "LINUX: ... ".
- I still need to install windose. So, I tried to create the partition with
the dos-fdisk, linux-fdisk, druid. Unsuccessful. Here again, the boot stops
with "LI_".
- I bought the new release 6.5 of Linux-Mandrake, knowing that there was a
package PartitionMagic included. For using it, you need a running windose.
Question: How to fix the problem with the boot, how to create proper
partitions (I can and did many times reformat my hard drive. Every thing is
on back-up).
