I downloaded rv50_Redhat5xi386.rpm and installed it. However, can't get
off first base
.
1. First thing is to put the shred library into the environment. The
suggested path was $HOME/rvplayer5.0. Nothing like that was created by
the installation.
2. To set up netscape, you copy RAObserver.class and RAPlayer.class into
$HOME/.netscape/plugins. Although those two class files are listed as
being in the package, no sign of them after installation. An rpm query
does not see them.
3. When I try to start rvplayer to confiture it (despite all the above),
I get Segmentation fault (core dumped).
Advice would be appreciated.
