Moving from Red Hat 5.2 to 6.1

I'm planning to update from Red Hat 5.2 to 6.1. Is it better to select 
the install option or the upgrade option? So far I haven't done much 
with the 5.2 version so I don't think there is much to lose. Can I do 
the install on top of the existing file system or do I have to delete 
the linux native partition and recreate it?
