Mailbox Conversion

I'm currently using Microsoft's Outlook Express 5 to read/store my mail. I'd
like to change that--probably Netscape mail, or Pine to start with--
something that uses actual standards, anyway!

Everything I can find on the web tells how to convert OE 4 mailboxes-- the
procedures do NOT work with version 5. I have hundreds of mailboxes, and
don't want to abandon them, so I could use some help.
