Hello.

I've installed grip, a MP3 ripper.  It works if I
run it as root, but not if I'm a common user.

This is from /usr/doc/grip-2.91/README:

> Grip and GCD used to be installed as setuid root.

> I no longer install the programs setuid root. This
> means that you will have to set the permissions
> correctly on the appropriate devices

How can I set the permission for my user.  I've
tried it with Midnight Commander (console) and I
haven't been able.
