I would imagen the manuel means its plug and pray because its a PCI card,
PCI cards do not have anything to do with Isapnptools at all, they are for
ISA cards, you have a PCI or so you state in the begining of this mail, you
then go on and say you dont know if it ISA or PCI.??

Now judgeing by the whole text i gather its a Soundblaster PCI64 from
Creative labs, yes.???

If so then the driver needed will be es1371, now depending on which kernel
version and distro you have, (you were so kind NOT to tell us), i will put
it this way.

Slackware 7.0 redhat 6.1 install a standard kernel with support for es1371.

modprobe es1371

For the rest of the details use the archive, last week i wrote about this
driver 3 times.

For more information check out the archives at;
http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/Linux/47/0
Use the search engine there to find a "Keyword"
Another good place for info;
http://www.linuxtopia.com

The keyword in this case is "es1371"
