I would like to do a ftp install via my 3c589 card of RedHat 6.1. I did this successfully on a desktop machine from my server, but the RH boot disk can't id the card and the pcmcia boot disk will only allow a hard drive install. Slackware never got past all the bus errors :-( It hates my machine. MU Linux only supports one 3c card Small Linux never did get farther than booting Peanut, never got past self checking the file for errors. Several attempts from many sources all failed the check. The Machine is: NEC Versa M/75 486 500 + Mb hard drive 8 mb ram hda1 = 50 mb swap hda2 = 400 + native 3c589 10 mbps pcmcia card Win 95 would run fine, no speed demon. Am I doomed?
