I'm successfully downloading mail using fetchmail from a non-msn ISP with good, clean results but still can't get past the msn pop3 login   I've talked with several of their people. They say use secure authentication protocol (so I made that change in /etc/ppp options.. +p??? or something), stripped the MSN/ prefix off of the account name, added secure. as a prefix to smtp (which I don't think is involved here), omitted the smtp address... and I don't know what else   Maybe the right workaround is just to ignore msn and stay with my main task with the non-msn ISP   David
