I have similar problem with R610 and the latest BIOS update PER610_BIOS_LX_2.2.10.BIN This version 2.2.10 is not included yet into either yum repository or the lifecycle controller (F10 on system startup), so I could not try other ways to upgrade.
As per Jeff's suggestion, I have extracted files and run the upgrade in the debug mode. It has created the following report. It tells "Version dependency check failed" but does not specify what exactly... Any ideas how to troubleshoot it?
