Hello, sorry for my English and your time,

I have a problem with pppd deamon I think.
I use a Dial-Up ppp server PC with Linux in my office and a Win95 client
PC at home.

Server run with:
Slackware 3.3.0
Kernel    2.0.35
modules   2.0.0
mgetty    1.1.16
pppd      2.3.5

My problem is that, after 1-5 min of connection, the connection is broken,
Dial-Up in Win95 PC terminate [Ok], but in the Linux Dial-Up server pppd
remain resident and telephone line open. If i kill [kill -9 ...] pppd,
mgetty come again automatically but modem keep line open. Only by hand can
reset modem [RockWell 33.6]. 
Sometimes [20%] the all system works fine and pppd terminates by self. I
try many adjustments and I have read many FAQ's HOW-TO's and Readmes. So I
dont know what I do now. Any suggestions are very helpfull.
