About this problem, let me tell you that I had a problem when I once tried
lcp-echo-interval and lcp-echo-failure. In my case it seems that using the
bandwidth at full capacity stops these echo's from being sent (or
received) and pppd thinks that the line is broken and shuts down the line.
(I set echo-interval to 3 and echo-failure to 10, and I started
downloading an email from linux to win95, and after about 35 secs pppd
disconected)
