I use a DPT2144UW (without the RAID expansion)  IT has worked perfectly
with only minor problems:

Sometimes:
        it says "waiting for Adapter" indefeinitely on power up, a power
cycling fixes this,  not sure why it does it...

        there was a bug in the kernel driver that made it fail when used
as a module. (not sure if this is resolved, as it worked perfectly when
compiled in.)

Other than the above minor glitches, it works beautifully.  the only major
downfall is that the RAID management software only runs under DOS, and the
linux version isn't ready yet.

ICP-vortex has a native Linux based management tool for its RAID cards,
and many people have reported they are faster than the DPT variant, due to
a better processor.
