hi,
ok, i got /dev/hda2 (391104 blocks) and /dev/hdc1 (about
the same size as hda2).
i have the /etc/raidtab from raid0.conf.sample, with
chunksize=16.
i did mkraid (--really-force) /dev/md0 and got:
...
disk0: /dev/hda2, 391104kB, raid superblock at 391040kB
disk1: /dev/hdc1, 391576kB, raid superblock at 391488kB
array md0 already exists!
mkraid: aborted
if i do raidstart /dev/md0 i get
array md0 already exists!
/dev/md0: File exists
if i do mke2fs -b 4096 -R stride=4 /dev/md0 i get:
/dev/md0: Invalid argument while setting up superblock
i'm using 2.0.36 + raid0145-19981215-2.0.36 &
raidtools-19981214-0.90
from RAID5.HOWTO it doesn't get this hard, in fact
mkraid.5 mentioned that raid0 doesn't need mkraid...
what have i done wrong? how do i set up raid0?
btw, i can't have this comp. down for a long time,
so i need help very much, or i can't have linux-raid
i'm not on linux-raid list btw, so please cc me
thanks
imel...
