answer your
questions:
We - better I - use SuSE-Linux 6.0 which contains the (SuSE-)patched kernel
2.0.36 on a SMP-system. The technical data is:
a pair of PII-400, Asus P2B-DS mainboard, 512 MByte of RAM, three Adaptec
SCSI-controllers (yeah, I know, what you are thinking) and
a lot of disks (IBM-type UW).
The disks/filesystems are direct connected to the machine and not exported over
nfs - I think that is what you wanted to know about knfsd....
I had run a fsck, but that did not solve the problem and I don't understand it
until now (we are still searching for the reason). Over all it was
the first time I have seen something like that - normally I am working with
some (really competent) guys on HP-machines and they wondered
about it like I did.
Nethertheless, I will keep on searching.
