Allegedly, RedHat 6.0 supports the Compaq 2SL (and the other cards
in the SMART family) on the boot disk. I haven't tried an install
yet, but this would be a boon to folks with big hardware budgets
who buy rackmount Compaq boxen, but refuse to load NT on them. 8-)
I've got a bunch of dual PII-450 1850R and 1600R machines with 2SL
and 2DH cards that are about to become guinea pigs. If things
work well, we'll likely deploy *lots* of them with RH6.
