Sorry that this wasn't easier for you to find. RAID does not work correctly
under any kernel later than 2.2.7. Linux made a bunch of buffer changes in
2.2.8 that causes RAID to appear to work, but never actually resync if it
gets out of sync.
The good news is that it should be easy to fix. Get 2.2.7, apply the 2.2.6
patch, reboot, and your array should sync.
