If anyone has the time to do that (eh, takes the time to do that), then
why not do it the right way; implementing a RAID setup tool (I'm thinking
a subsubsubset of sam (HP-UX) or smith (AIX) here).
The tool could be curses and eventually gtk/qt based, and should do _just_
the partitioning & RAID setup.
It could then be invoked like ntsysv/timeconfig/... from RedHat, and
could eventually make it into the standard RedHat installer, or the
installer of any other of your favourite distribution(s).
Yes I know, it takes more time to do a real setup tool like I'm proposing
than to do a bash script :)
Just my $0.02
