Hi all !

There's a new version of the raidreconf utility out. I call it 0.0.2.

You can download a patch against the current raidtools at
 http://ostenfeld.dk/~jakob/Software-RAID.HOWTO/

New features:
*) Bugfix in RAID-0 growth. It now seems to work in all cases with
strange disk orderings, different disk sizes etc.
*) Added shrinking of RAID-0 arrays. This also seems to work in all
   cases I have tested.
*) Added ``importing'' of devices. You can convert a single block
device in to a RAID (hopefully) without loosing your data on the
   block device.

If anyone out there has a way to test this utility on large arrays I would very
much like to hear any results from that. I test this utility extensively on a
setup with a number of loop-back devices that point to files of varying size.
But I cannot test this utility on multi-GB arrays currently. This is a very
important test nonetheless, since a common bug is the 2/4 GB wraparound of
integers. I've been careful with this, but without testing....

PLEASE! Don't use this on data you can't restore ! I'm very careful when I'm
coding this, but I'm still human. There _are_ bugs left. I just haven't found
them yet. If you find any, please let me know.

Features planned: More RAID levels supported, and a checkpoint file to allow
graceful resuming of operations after eg. a power surge.

Best regards,
