Hi,

I've been succesfully using raidtools-0.90 (from
ftp.kernel.org:/pub/linux/daemons/raid/alpha) for the 2.2.x kernel range but
I've been unable to get them to work with 2.3.29.

Is there a more recent of the raidtools I should be using, and if so,
where do I get them from? I've searched the linux-raid mailing list
archives for the last month or two but haven't been able to find an answer.

Extra info if needed: /dev/md* is a block file (9,x), using a vanilla
2.3.29 kernel, tried building RAID stuff both as modules and non-modules,
and the last few lines of an strace mkraid /dev/md0 are:

open("/dev/md0", O_RDONLY) = 4
ioctl(4, 0x40480923, 0x804ffe0) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
write(2, 0xbfffd0e8, 70mkraid: aborted, see the syslog and /proc/mdstat for potential
clues.
) = 70

If it makes any difference, I'm using hde to hdh for my RAID devices.

    Thanks in advance,
