The HOWTO is wrong.   It's a long story, but swap on RAID has historically been
anything between ``safe'', ``unsafe'', ``somewhat safe'', ``it works for me - safe'',
``my machine blew up - safe''.

I'll try to keep the advise in the HOWTO updated to the current safeness-state
of the code      ;)
