You need to patch the kernel for the 0.9x raidtools.  I believe Mandrake's 
kernels are still at 0.4x and lower for kernel support, with 0.9x raidtools 
included (why they don't pre-patch the kernel source to support the 
raidtools they include is beyond me and why I won't use mandrake!  What 
other incompatabilities do they include!)
