Hi,

I've got two different ide-disks in my system:

/dev/hda --> 6,4GB   SAMSUNG SV0644A

/dev/hdb --> 13.2GB  WDC WD136BA

Both have different speeds: --> tested with hdparm -t /dev/xxx

/dev/hda:
 Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 2.69 seconds =11.90 MB/sec
/dev/hdb:
 Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 1.44 seconds =22.22 MB/sec

Now my question, is it actual to make nearly same sized partitions to use
with RAID-1, how does this touch the performance of my disks ?

Could you please make some proposals on how to partition my system ???

Thank you very much!!
