hi,
redhat 6.2 already comes with a patched version of kernel 2.2.14,
which includes the latest raid version. you can even set up the
raid graphically in their installer.
however, if you have to patch this kernel, (e.g. to support one
of the udma66 controllers), it will most likely fail. in this
situation you would have to start from a 'standard' kernel and
apply the raid-patches by yourself.
but if your scsi controller is fully supported by the kernel,
i see no problem.
