Yes. Use the ncr53c8xx driver with Linux. There's also an NT driver, of
course ...

Yes. Note that these adapters are not cheap, however.

No problems. Just have devices with active termination at the end of your
SCSI chain, otherwise you might get problems due to reflections.

No. On PCs, floppy has its own (mostly onboard) controller.

My english is not good enough to know what you mean by daisy-chained.
If it means that yopur chain is anything else than linear, then: NO.
You are even not allowed to use every of the three connectors of the DC390F.

My experience with Tekram SCSI adapters is fine. Drivers are OK, the BIOS is
pretty well and you can talk to the Tech support by email and it gets
answered. Their are committed to linux. Note that the driver I maintain, the
tmscsim (DC390/AM53C974) driver was originally written by a Teram engineer.
[Maybe this makes me a little bit biased.]

I don't know about the other adapters, you suggested, though.

There is something frustrating about the quality and speed of Linux
development. I.e. the quality is too high and the speed is too high, in
other words, I can implement this XXXX feature, but I bet someone else
has already done it and is just about to release his patch to Linus soon...
[From a posting of Tigran Aivazian to linux-kernel, XXXX = disk stat]
