Actually I was right and all devices were set with termination off. I fully
believed that the LVD and active terminators at the end of each cable should
terminate the string. However read on ...

Funny thing is that may have been the problem but it didn't freak the bios
out so remained hidden. I now have an answer, sort of.
In trying different combinations I never tried setting the last device's
term to on even with the cable being terminated.

Well after moving the CDROM to be the last physical device on the SCSI2 side
(yes I know how I listed them, forgive me, I had it and the TD listed in
scsiID order) I set it's termination to ON, left all the cable terminators
in place, fired her up and voila!

What will puzzle me (and I plan on testing some variations or someone can
educate me) is what made the difference? I, like I said, am still learning
SCSI so this was all very interesting but I am just glad that now it appears
to be working. I will be testing all this during burn in of course. :)

So for those out there here is what is working for me:
|<----------------UW----------------->|        |<----------U---------->|
(LVDTerm)-(E)-(E)-(E)-(E)-(HDD1)-(HDD0)-(Host)-(TD(4))-(CD(5))-(ActTerm)
Int. Term ON -->           ^^^^                         ^^^^^

As always YMMV.
