There are two errors in the faq which reside there since a long time but
should be corrected. The entry Elitegroup P6LX2-A (Ulf Nielsen) states
this board to be working with kernels !!!after 2.1.100!!! which is, as I
think more than just a bug, so that the board should be moved to
"Motherboards with known problems"-Section. You should be aware that
this means this board does not work with ANY production kernel which is
right... I tested almost all of them without success. So this board is
UNUSABLE for fileserving or anything more than hobby-testing.
The second error is in the "Motherboards with known problems"-Section.
The Gigabyte-Boards are stated to have "problems", which means you have
to use the mtrr-patch for kernel 2.0.33, which in fact works for 2.0.34
in production. I think this is not realy a problem or when it is, then
the problem with the not working Elitegroup board should realy move into
this section. Also the QDI P6I440LX/DP "Legend IV" (Tony Kocurko) in the
"NO problems"-Section has the same problem, so it should also be move to
Problems-Section.
Perhaps we should move all boards with this damned bogomips-problem to
the "NO problems"-Section or make an undersection there to show all
these boards on the first view.
MfG/Sincerely
Joachim von Thadden
