Folks, I am trying to run Redhat 5.2 on my new PC w/ dual 400 MHz XEON processors (a MarlinSpike 440GX motherboard). I have 1 GB of RAM (4x256MB DIMMS). After enabling SMP in the Makefile and doing the following: make xconfig make deps make clean make boot mv arch/i386/boot/zImage /boot/vmlinuz make modules make modules_install /sbin/mkinitrd /boot/newinitrd 2.0.36 editing lilo.conf /sbin/lilo and re-booting, only 1 of the two processors is recognized. That is, at first it looks like it sees both, but later in the mindless scrolling of psuedo-words, it tests processor 0, hangs for a few seconds, then reports: Error: only 1 processor found. Ideas?
