I run the same board with a single 9.1Gb Seagate Barracuda using the
onboard 7890 controller.  This is in a dual-PII400 system and I've had no
problems whatsoever with both the last few 2.0 and 2.1.x 2.2.0pre kernels.

With only a single drive, I don't get the chance to exploit the full
benefit of Ultra2 SCSI (80Mb/s) yet but I hope to soon...
